truth be told, we are not even sure that speaking of « afrofuturism » in the context of music is that relevant – from rock to funk to hiphop to techno, « Africa » and its diasporas have led the way into the future ever since « pop » music became a thing.

and still, dancing to PÖ’s exhilarating sets -intertwining the most exciting sounds from all over the planet, from kuduro to footwork, gqom, dancehall and more – feels like listening to the soundtrack towards a desirable future. a future where the drexciyans are coming out of the sea to take control of the decks.
